Center for Integrated Coastal Zone Management or ICZM Universitas Diponegoro is a multidisciplinary research center that focuses on coastal area management. The center establishment is a manifestation of the university’s responsibility in finding solutions to various coastal problems at the regional, provincial, national, and even global levels, as well as building an Indonesian society that is more responsive to coastal problems in an integrated manner.
Our Vision:
Become a Center of Excellence that helps overcome problems of coastal ecosystems management in integration, especially in Central Java and generally in Indonesia, in a participatory, cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary, implementable, responsible, and sustainable manner, as well as enhance the capacity and competence of coastal ecosystem management practitioners to a higher level.
Our Mission:
- Provides the solution to the problems related to coastal zone management through consulting service;
- Conducts applicative, practical, and implementable research about integrated coastal zone management;
- Conducts training and certification for young professionals, private sector, and government, as well as specialty certification in integrated coastal zone management;
- Acts as a catalyst in creating collaboration among various stakeholders and cross-sectoral organizations in the field of integrated coastal zone management.
